As you can see, I have posted very little weathering in N. This is
the scale of the model trains that I do for my personal collection.
N Scale is 1/160th the size of the real thing. A sixty-foot boxcar
is about 4.5 inches long. As time allows - I will try to work on a
few more of these and post them here for N Scale fans to enjoy.
I do not sell weathered N scale trains to anybody - as they are my personal
favorite. However, in the name of charity, I did up these two Atlas N freight
cars for eBay. Because I'd heard that Hurricane Katrina had flooded a fellow
N scale modeler's home and ruined much of his collection - I felt like helping
Vincent in an indirect way. Initially, I had some trouble with eBay's "charity"
listing policy. But it all worked out in the end. The cars went to a happy buyer,
and the proceeds of the auction were then sent to Vincent. A win-win situation!
The boxcar is stock, and the hopper custom lettered for Vincent's model RR.
The hopper's ape grafitti faithfully depicts Vincent's loveable sidekick Dee.
